AI for construction companies, engineering firms and energy assessors
On site or during a survey, an AI agent listens to what you dictate and looks at your photos or video. It prepares the site report, the survey, the draft quote and the list of items to put right. For energy performance certificates (PEB in Belgium), it prepares the file from the visit, and the accredited assessor checks it, approves it and signs.

Tasks that take time on site and in the office
-
Site and visit reports
Observations are made on site. The writing happens back at the office, often later, from notes and photos scattered across a phone.
-
On-site surveys
Dimensions, materials, installations, walls. Everything is noted by hand and then copied out, with the risk of missing a room or a measurement and having to go back.
-
Quotes and quantity take-offs
Every request for a price means working out the quantities again, finding the items from a similar job and formatting it all. Requests pile up while you are on site.
-
Tracking remarks and snags
Items to put right travel by email, by text and by word of mouth. Knowing what is closed and what is still open means reading everything again.
What an agent takes on
-
It writes the report from your dictation
You dictate your observations as you walk the site. The agent sets them out in your own report template, attaches the photos and gives you the document to review.
-
It prepares the survey from photos and video
You film the visit and talk it through. The agent sorts the images by room and picks up the items you mentioned. It is set up to mark anything it could not establish as to be completed, rather than guess it. That is one of the things you check on review.
-
It drafts the quote
Working from the survey and your previous quotes, the agent suggests the items and the quantities. The prices and the version sent to the client remain yours to decide.
-
It keeps the snag list
Every remark dictated or received goes onto a single list, with the room, the photo and the contractor concerned. You decide what is closed.
Typical example
From visit to energy certificate file, a typical scenario
The context
Take an energy assessor who visits one home after another. On site, the assessor measures, takes photos and makes notes. Back at the office, all of it has to be written up before the file can be put together.
What we would put in place
With an AI agent, the assessor would film the visit while describing what is there. The agent would sort the photos by room, pick up the dictated items and prepare the file, flagging what is missing. The assessor would check each figure, correct it, then approve and sign personally.
The tools an agent can be connected to, where they allow it
- Quoting and invoicing software
- Site management tool
- ERP or business software, for example Odoo
- Spreadsheets and report templates
- Google or Microsoft email and calendar
- Storage for drawings and photos
From site to document, without typing it all again
In construction, information is born on site: a measurement, an observation, a remark from the client, a photo. It then has to become a document, and that is where the time goes. The report waits for the end of the week, the quote waits for the report, and the snag list is spread across several inboxes.
A custom AI agent shortens that path. You dictate and film during the visit. The agent prepares the report, the survey or the draft quote in your own templates.
Contractors, engineering firms and energy assessors
A construction company mostly needs regular site reports and quotes that do not sit waiting. An engineering firm wants to prepare its files and technical reports without copying the same data from one document to the next. An energy assessor wants to spend less time writing up each visit.
For energy performance certificates, the rule is simple. The agent prepares the file from the visit. The accredited assessor checks every figure, approves and signs.
Some needs are better met by process automation or custom development; the audit makes that clear.
A concrete example: Nazra, for building inspection
Maya.gent has built an AI agent for this sector: Nazra, the AI that drafts building inspection reports (in French). The inspector films and describes the visit, Nazra prepares the report, then the inspector checks and signs it. Nazra is available today for EPB certificates (PEB) in Wallonia. Asbestos inventories and reports for inspection bodies are in preparation.
For your own documents, a custom agent can follow the same principle: an inspection body’s report, reminders for snags still open, visit data carried over into your CRM or ERP.
Start with what really weighs on you
A report handed to a client, a quote, a technical file: each one carries your signature. The agent prepares, you check and you decide.
The AI audit, from €800 excl. VAT, is there to choose where to begin. We follow your teams in the office and on site, then tell you which tasks to hand to an agent and which to leave as they are. Training then helps your teams use it day to day.
Frequently asked questions
Can the agent produce an energy performance certificate?
No. The agent prepares the file from your visit, your photos and what you dictate. The accredited assessor checks the data, approves it and signs. The agent replaces neither that check nor that responsibility.
Do we need special equipment on site?
We start from the phone your teams already carry, for dictating, taking photos and filming. The audit is where we check the real conditions on your sites before deciding how to work.
Does the agent send quotes itself?
No. It prepares a draft. A quote commits your company, so a person reviews it, completes it and sends it.
What happens to our drawings, photos and client data?
We do not resell your data and we do not use it to train models. We sign a data processing agreement and tell you, before we start, where it is hosted and which services it passes through.
Where do we start?
With an AI audit, from €800 excl. VAT. We follow your teams in the office and on site to identify the tasks worth handing to an agent. The go-live timetable depends on the scope; it is agreed with you after the audit.
